wanted to follow up their maternity session with their happy baby girl…oh she had so many smiles for us! she was perfectly squishy and oh so lovely. her mommy + daddy are completely smitten. who wouldn’t be! I’m sooo excited to see them again in July when she’s 6 months.

from last year. oops!! loved how we had pretty pink puffy clouds on their session day…just before their beautiful baby girl arrived. long ago I taught with this gorgeous new mama and was THRILLED when she contacted me about pictures! we had a great time that sunny/cloudy evening! cannot wait to show you their little one. she was so smiley!

Sam says hi…he’s a little annoyed with all the pictures I’m still in the middle of sending out announcements…no idea if they’ll all actually be mailed… so in the meantime, I’m sharing here! this idea came to me when I couldn’t for the life of me pick an image for his cards because I wanted something unique. they are actual prints…it’s *not* photoshop magic + his onesie really does say ‘hi’ (thanks to my very sweet + talented photog friend, Minnette…she also made the camera onesie.)

I’m doing my best to answer emails + inquiries. I’m a tad sad that my time ‘off’ is starting to come to a close, but the summer is looking super full at the moment + I’m excited about meeting some new families this year!

my first letter to our last baby boy! bittersweet. if you missed the news, you can meet Sam here. and see the letter I wrote days before he was born here. I’ll be sharing images in this post that are from his first few weeks. a lot of them are on the CMpro daily project. there hasn’t been a day I’ve missed at photographing Sam (even if I haven’t shared) because I know he’s changing rapidly and it hurts to think I will forget. so thanks for putting up with all of these. and my sappiness! one more thing – make sure you follow the link at the end to see some other amazing boy-mom letters + images!!

tonight marks 2 weeks since the hubby + I rushed to the hospital. we were about to have our 3rd baby boy! Samuel Arthur Cook was born in Labor & Delivery Room #THREE on 3.13.13 at 3:21 a.m. he weighed 7 lbs 8 oz + was 19½ in long. figured it was about time that I shared some images of him on the blog. these are all from his 1st two days in the hospital. we are incredibly blessed to have amazing friends + family surround us…Sam is one lucky little man…and he is absolutely perfect, we just love him so very much!! thank you to everyone for your well wishes, notes, messages, texts, cards, gifts, meals, calls, comments, etc…I’ve been overwhelmed with how much love there is out there! my facebook + Instagram feed have been very busy also my amazing friend Sara captured some beautiful images of Sam’s birth…these are just the ‘after’!!

of course you’ll get to see more pics of Sam at home soon – for now I’ve been sharing on facebook + the CMpro Daily Project. thank you for your patience as it’s taking me awhile to reply to session + mentoring inquiries! off for more baby snuggles!!

I was sitting here trying to come up with a title for this post and was at a loss. because it was all beautiful. everything about this session. the baby, the parents…their incredible home, the light! oh and let’s not leave out their tiny princess pup. the moments between them were beautiful and both of baby boy’s grandmothers are gorgeous + incredibly kind. yep, think I might just move in!! do you remember their maternity session? a favorite from the fall. as if I wasn’t reallllllly ready to meet my own newbie, I am even more now, especially if he’s as precious as this little peanut!

it was my first time to meet this beautiful mother-daughter duo…but it won’t be the last. I get to see them early this summer for one of my first sessions back! I’m sure it will be a welcome change from all the BOY-stuff at my place! little miss was not so sure about me and she spent a lot of her time moving around the chair and quilt after I would place it…gotta love a girl that knows what she wants. I couldn’t get over her pretty pink dress, those eyes and her sweet face. she looooves her mama + I really enjoyed capturing their connection. the last image is a favorite for sure.

more of this beautiful sparkly baby! and mom’s pregnancy was announced here! this was another session from last fall…love this family and was excited to meet little sister. she was soooo precious and scrumptious + big brother was very sweet with her. I can’t wait to watch this little princess grow + she’s sure to be a knockout…um, just look at her mom!!
