easy goin’ | dallas family photographer

another session from last fall.  oh this little man was soooo easy goin’ + precious!  his mama was a little worried because they had quite the drive over to meet me at this spot and he had fallen asleep in the car.  but once he was changed into his super cute duds, he just smiled and went with the flow!  loved meeting this fellow Clickin Mom + local photographer! and she has such a beautiful family:)and it was also fun to re-visit a spot where I once lived + a location that means a lot to me.

He has the biggest eyes and looks just like his mommy! These locations are TDF! Gorgeous as always!

What a beautiful family! This little guy is too cute, and it is obvious what a fun personality he has. :)

new addition | dallas newborn photographer

not only is this little guy a new addition to his gorgeous family, but he had a beautiful, bright space to come home to since they added on!!  mom was so right when she decided to keep everything empty + free of clutter for my arrival…what a treat to work in a lovely blank slate!  I met these now-parents-of-three (oh my!) back in college through a best friend.  it’s almost impossible to think back to that time before all these sweet tiny people came into our lives!  baby brother has fantastic hair and such an easy going personality…probably a must for baby #3.  he fits in perfectly with his too-cute siblings.  such a treat to catch up + see them again!

thanks for stopping by!

all smiles | dallas family photographer

oh, don’t they just make you HAPPY!!  all smiles, this family:) we had a beautiful day last fall for some fun in the sun…and I’m more than fortunate to call them friends.  we started out back + then moved to my favorite field (that I’m sure you recognize…) and my kids were staring out the window the whole time ready to come and play!!  so excited they are moving closer to us soon.  enjoy!

letters to our sons | february

another long post!!  but I just can’t help it…so much fun to reminisce about my babies.  I have a feeling my next blog posts will be kept pretty short, what with a newborn and all;) you can see the last installment of letters to our sons here.  this month it’s all about the baby of our family (which will change in a few weeks!)  thank you for being here…don’t forget to follow the link at the bottom to make the circle – you are sure to be inspired!!

just a reminder that this first set of images is from two years ago…things have changed a lot!!  except for the two sweet family shots from my dear friend Sara Seeton.

and since I showed some iPhone snaps of his big brother…I just couldn’t leave these out!!

the oh-so-incredible Lacey Meyers is up next…seriously you don’t want to miss out on her post!!

What a wonderful story! I hadn’t ever heard it before and I had tears in my eyes the whole way through. I’m so glad Ty had you there safe and sound in the hospital during that magical storm. :) I can’t wait to see your three little boys all together, Leah! They are so blessed to have you. :)

Thanks for sharing this. So sweet!

Leah! Sigh.. I feel like I just watched Tyler’s whole first two years in a beautiful blur. Thanks for sharing – and I hope your next few weeks goes nice and smoothly ;)

What a sweet story Leah! Gorgeous photos too, as usual! Both your boys are so beautiful – I can’t wait to see the pics you’re gonna take of your new one!

Leeee-aaah!! So many beautiful things in this post. Sigh. You were meant to be a Mama, lady. Lucky little boys :)

Oh Leah, how fun to read about Tyler!! I think it is so neat that there are two years between your boys! Can’t wait to see your new little sweetie pie soon!

Awww…I’m so excited for you to welcome another little boy so soon, sweet friend. You’re such an amazing mama, and I know that your love is going to swell when #3 arrives. I got tears in my eyes reading about (and picturing) you and Ty snuggling as you watched the snow in your hospital room. All three of your boys are so fortunate to have you in their lives.

lila | dallas newborn photographer

so I’ll be honest. I was totally overwhelmed with where to start in blogging my client sessions…. so I chose this one. a very favorite from 2012. and you may have seen this first image since it’s on the homepage of my site…the emotion + connection to her baby just gets to me. this would be the gorgeous (wow.  really…to look like that after giving birth!??) Jennifer Cusimano. a BRILLIANT newborn photographer based in Houston. talk about pressure!! Jenn and I became friends awhile ago. we had some mutual connections + ya know, the whole photography thing…then we finally got to meet in person at a Pinkle Toes Workshop out in Austin. oh my goodness what a blast…not to mention the incredible learning experience, but so awesome is the fact that we stayed up late talking about everything imaginable + we became friends for life, along with some other special ladies. I’m so fortunate to have her friendship and it’s been amazing to watch Jenn become a mommy for the second time around. she calls Miss Lila her ‘miracle baby’ and I absolutely loved spending the day with them last September. it felt so comfortable and natural to hang out with their family. there are more images than a ‘typical’ newborn session because I did spend a lot of time in their lovely home + Jenn’s outrageous studio.  I couldn’t get enough of that space.  there were WAY too many favorites and this is narrowed down a lot!! enjoy the beauty that is Jenn’s family! oh and my shoes even make an appearance…big sis Kinley was really liking them!

see my approach to newborn photography here + purchase actions that I’ve used in my editing here.

so honored to also have some of the above images featured in the jan/feb issue of click magazine!!  do you have your subscription yet?

thanks so much for stopping by the blog:)
