the way I view motherhood | dallas lifestyle photographer

that time again!  view last month’s CMpro blog circle post here!

WARNING:  you will either find this post extremely uncessary and long…or you may be motivated to capture a complete day of your own little ones’ lives…let’s hope it’s the 2nd 🙂

in no way was I intending on taking this many shots in ONE entire day…it sorta just happened.  luckily enough it was a slow day at home and I just went with it!  I took the pressure away and just clicked…it was so fun!  the way I view motherhood is in the everyday moments…like these.  it’s the little things, the comforts of home, and the moments of bliss when I realize how truly fortunate I am.  mommies wear so many hats – and have so many job descriptions that change with time.  right now I’m the milk keeper, boo boo kisser, playmate, rule enforcer, project manager, gourmet chef, librarian, lifeguard, shampoo tech, art director, diaper changer, cuddler,  treat giver, listener, protector, comedian, share encourager, and definitely a cleaner-upper.  but I don’t do it alone…in fact, my husband does most of the grocery shopping, dishes, and even laundry…and he made our spaghetti dinner!!  my better half for sure (but more about him *next* month!!)  this is my life.  my simple, colorful, every day perfect mommy-hood.  (not pictured…our sweet doggies!!  I do have some shots of them, but decided to just show my human kids…oh and the glass of wine I needed after bed time!)

these are TOTAL snapshots… edited in ACR with my own presets.  don’t forget to make the circle at the end and see what sweet + talented Jodie Arego has been up to!

now, a motherhood post just wouldn’t be the same without mention of my INCREDIBLE mama.  seriously the end-all be-all of moms.  my heart bursts when I think of how much she does for us and how much I’ve learned from her.  I love, love, love you mom with all that I am.  thanks for being everything to the boys and me.

Nikki Hart - this inspired me omg…okay I have to do this. I have to take the business out of photography and just take a day to do it because I love it. To just capture the little moments on my day, I dont even think I realize what goes on during my days anymore. Its all about being a mama and this weekend Im going to take a day to do that. Thanks Leah…you inspired a mama here.ReplyCancel

Jodi Lee - You view Motherhood the same way I do! These images reminded me so much of my boys when they were little. I wish I had captured them like this. Now they are 6,9 & 11 and I am still frantically trying to capture their lives as they are growing up way too fast. I just last night blogged about “Real Life” images on my own blog. Beautiful work.ReplyCancel
