uh oh

you see…my baby is 1.5, a year and half, almost two, oh my goodness!!  his favorite word (and one of very few) is uh oh.  I really meant to post some photos from his 18 month session awhile back, but have felt so guilty because I’m behind on proofs.  I just had to do it…and there are more, but those will have to wait.  gosh, I just love him times a million.  Confession – when I was taking these exact photos, this very set, there were some tears (from me.)  watching him laugh at his dad and seeing those amazing eyes just pushed me right over into ‘mushy, lovey-dovey mommy land.’

I made a list on my iPhone (in between keeping him out of trouble) the last few weeks of things I want to remember.  This is about 5% of what I really wanted to say.  There is so much.  It’s fleeting and that’s the sad part…but amazing how he has grown, and honestly I’ve changed as a person because of him.  How will he ever know how full my heart is.  (disclaimer:  if you didn’t know, I’m pregnant…one word: hormones.  okay another word: emotional.)

now, don’t get me wrong.  there are for sure a few things I could do without.  the fact that he learned to open all of the safety-locked cabinets RIGHT after Max spent a Saturday installing them (annoying!)…he can open all of our doors and he’s got a great ‘throwing’ arm (ouch!)  we *always* have better food on our plates, even if it’s the exact same thing he has (guess he gets the begging from the dogs.)  but really, there’s not much more to complain about.  he’s pretty darn cool.  Happy Half Birthday, Andrew!!!

Cindy - That is the most adorable boy! His mom ain’t so bad either ;). He is truly precious, you and Max should be so proud of yourselves, you are terrific parents and raising a perfect baby. Can’t wait for baby 2. That sounds very impersonal, so from now on I shall refer to # 2 as bubbles. Can’t wait to meet bubbles.ReplyCancel
